        Three NEW TRUSTEES NAMED
      
      
        The SKS Board of Trustees is pleased to announce
      
      
        the appointment of the following trustees:
      
      
        
          David Chirls
        
      
      
        is the father of current student Dylan ’14. He
      
      
        attended Tufts University and received a BS in engineering;
      
      
        followed by an MBA in computer application and finance from
      
      
        New York University’s Stern School of Business; and in 2000
      
      
        graduated from Pratt Institute with a BA in architecture. David
      
      
        has held key positions at American Express and MasterCard
      
      
        International. He later served as president of one of the largest
      
      
        corporate communications companies in the U.S.
      
      
        David has two other children. He and his wife, Roberta,
      
      
        live in Brooklyn Heights, NY. David is seen often on campus
      
      
        especially on the athletic fields watching Dylan play.
      
      
        
          Myles Megdal
        
      
      
        ,
      
      
        a former business colleague of SKS’s Chief
      
      
        Financial Officer Ray Hecht, is one of the world’s leading
      
      
        authorities on the use of data and analytics for marketing and
      
      
        advertising applications. During his 30-plus year career, Myles
      
      
        has worked for companies such as American Express, Kraft/
      
      
        General Foods, and Glaxo/SmithKline.
      
      
        He served as president of
      
      
        Decision Sciences Group for
      
      
        Experian.
      
      
        Myles lives in Sands Point,
      
      
        New York and Montauk,
      
      
        New York. His favorite
      
      
        hobby by far is fishing for
      
      
        large game, primarily tuna.
      
      
        
          Michele
        
      
      
        
          DeFreece
        
      
      
        holds
      
      
        an undergraduate
      
      
        degree in
      
      
        elementary/
      
      
        special education
      
      
        and a masters in
      
      
        education from
      
      
        Howard University.
      
      
        She has more
      
      
        than 25 years
      
      
        of progressively
      
      
        responsible college
      
      
        level academic
      
      
        and student
      
      
        affairs leadership experience. Michele has worked at the State
      
      
        University of New York, College of Technology since 1985
      
      
        when she served as the admissions/student development
      
      
        counselor. Today she is the director of three programs at the
      
      
        university.
      
      
        Michele’s daughter, Dominique ’14 is a leader among her
      
      
        peers. Michele is well known by all on campus. She is involved
      
      
        with the Parents’ Association; has helped Admissions at open
      
      
        houses; and will be this year’s chair of the Parents’ SKS Fund
      
      
        for Annual Giving.
      
      
        In addition to “Nique,” Michelle has two sons and she lives
      
      
        in Delhi, New York.
      
      
        We welcome David, Michele and Myles to the Board of
      
      
        Trustees and thank them for volunteering their time, talents
      
      
        and treasure to make SKS the best it can be.
