writes, “I appreciate
the introductions at Homecoming to Paul
and Michael as well as several other Board
members. It is clear there is a commitment to
making The Storm King School the best
school it can be. As an alumni, the idea of
working with the Administration, the Board
and others to help shape the campus would
be very gratifying. I am looking forward to
coming up to Career Day in March, but
hopefully will be on campus sooner.”

JudyWright mathews, SKS director of
development from 1984 to 1987
writes, “Florida, and Tallahassee where I live, is
a long way from The Storm King School.
However, the time and the enjoyment of my
three years there remain clearly visible in my
mind. Watching the soccer games on
Saturday afternoon, evening meals looking
out over the Hudson, laughing with
associates Nurse Karen Hayes, Diethard and
Nancy Kolewe, Jim Dowell, Austin Stern,
Marge Kovacs, and the many other staff and
faculty who welcomed me to the north. I still
see faces of students who sat at my table—
and tell a few stories about some of them. Do
false fire alarms ever happen now? Do the
students still hike up the mountain? I enjoy
reading news and seeing pictures of that
beautiful mountain setting. My best to all for
2013.”

baseball team happening this spring!

writes, “Some good
news! I have been asked to make American
Music and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) history
by being the first second-semester student
(
student ever, really) to choreograph the
semester’s final demo performance! I have
been given the opportunity from the
assistant head of the dance department
because of my unique vision. I have six
dancers to cast, and it will be a “modern”
piece with a dramatic story line. I’ll let you
know what the story is as soon as I decide.
Step one to my journey!”
