SKS ALUMNI RETURNED TO THEIR ALMA MATER
FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL CAREER DAY
ON MARCH 30, SKS Alumni Hannah
Feuer ’09, Doug Hall ’76, Mei Hua
Hall, Jeff Licht ’64, and David Perez ’02
took the time to share stories of their
college experiences and career paths.
In attendance was a Harvard Medical
School professor/neuroscientist, a
university of Massachusetts research
professor, a museum professional, a
photography studio director, and a
young alumna on the path to finding
her vocation in life. Our special
guests explained in an all-school panel
discussion the twists and turns they took
on the way to where they are today. They
each emphasized to the student body
the importance of choosing a career in a
field they love and not to be discouraged
if they are unsure of what they want to
do at this point.
They reassured the students that it
is okay to change their minds during
college or even after they enter the
workforce. This was especially welcome

After the assembly, the alumni
enjoyed a guided tour of campus to see
what life on the Mountain is like today.
They then joined the students for dinner
and spent one-on-one time with those
who wanted to hear more about specific
careers and to ask more questions.
The next Career Day is set for March
(
date TBD). If you’re an alumnus or
alumna who’d like to take part, please
contact the Development Office.
SENIOR PICNIC
ONE OF OUR FAVORITE new traditions continued this June with the
annual Senior Picnic held the day before Commencement. Every
year, the School invites an alumni to speak to the graduating senior
class about what it means to be a former student of The Storm King
School. This year, the School invited Michael Pock ’94. Michael has
been working for Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey for more
than 12 years. He had lots of
great advice for our seniors
about adjusting to college
and staying in touch
with those who made a
difference in their lives
while on the Mountain. It
was a great opportunity
for our seniors to reflect,
relax and spend one more
afternoon together before
their big day.
