It was with much sadness that we
learned of the untimely death of
George Sordoni ’64
.
He died in
May from injuries sustained while
riding his motorcycle on Interstate
75
near Naples, Florida. He split his
time between living in Florida and
Pennsylvania.
While a student at SKS, George
played soccer, basketball and base-
ball. He was the headwaiter in his
freshman year and was a member
of the yearbook staff and the Auto
Mechanics Club.
George was one of four brothers
involved in a family construction
business and the former Common-
wealth Telephone.
He was involved with Wyoming
Seminary serving for many years as
chair of their finance committee and
eventually as chair of the Board of
Trustees. He held that post for 15
years. Sordoni was also a founding
member of the Luzerne Foundation,
which helps people create funds to
give back to the community.
According to the
Citizens’ Voice
newspaper, Sordoni is survived by
his wife, Andrea, four children and
one granddaughter.
The Storm King School commu-
nity sends their deepest sympathies
to the Sordoni family.

Alumnn Survey Results
The first comprehensive alumni survey was sent via Survey Monkey and 111 people responded. The
survey’s goal was to update our contact information; get thoughts on your overall SKS experience;
learn how you stay connected to SKS; and see how we can make your alumni experience more
meaningful. We learned so much from you and will, along with Scott Cantor ’73, the new Alumni
Association president, review your ideas and suggestions to see how we can improve our program.
Here is a sampling of responses — additional results will be published in the Annual Giving Report.
