Where I’m from
Naples, Florida
Why I came to SKS
I came to SKS because my parents got divorced and my
mom was moving up here. So I had to come. They didn’t
want me in the public school in my town because it was
known for being violent so they sent me to SKS.
The best thing about SKS
The people. Everyone is always willing to help. It’s a close
community.
My best memories of SKS
My favorite memories at SKS are the theater productions
I’ve done. I was in three shows:
Musical Comedy Murders,
The Winter One-Acts
,
and
The Drowsy Chaperone
.
They
were all so much fun and will definitely be a piece of SKS
I will never forget.
My first impression of SKS
My first impression of SKS was that it was really small. I
had come from a public school in Florida with 4,000 kids
so it was very different.
What SKS gave me
SKS has given me confidence in what I do. There is
always someone to cheer you on, and you learn a lot
being in the dorms and living with other people. Now I’m
not nervous about living in the dorms at college. SKS has
also helped me a lot with time management skills due to
the busy schedules we all have.
Future plans
My future plans right now are to get my degree in
communications.
Best advice ever received
Everything is scarier before you do it.
Kara worked in the Development Office over the summer.
She is now attending Mount Saint Mary College.
